Named after the Gilbert family racehorse that won the Adelaide Cup in 1874, Ace of Trumps reflects the same winning spirit, producing exceptional McLaren Vale reds.

Planted in 2001, Ace of Trumps was carefully developed with detailed soil mapping, varietal and clone selection, and vineyard layout planning. The vineyard spans nine hectares of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, with remarkable uniformity producing low yields of icon-quality fruit.
ALTITUDE & ASPECT
Located in Seaview, McLaren Vale, the vineyard is mostly south-facing, creating a mild microclimate and protecting vines and fruit from hot northerly winds. This positioning ensures the grapes achieve perfect ripeness and balance.
