2018 TUTELINA SHIRAZ

In Roman religion, Tutelina was an agricultural goddess who was responsible for protecting crops brought in during harvest time. This wine has been planned since the beginning of Karrawatta and is a blend of Shiraz from our own three vineyards.

Tutelina is a multi-regional blend of Karrawatta Shiraz. The magic begins in our vineyards located in three iconic wine regions of South Australia (Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek). Selected rows were meticulously managed with the highest principles and practices of viticulture. The final wine is selected from only the best barrels of each of the candidate batches.

Colour of deep ruby magenta. Intense aromas of vibrant ripe plum, spice, cedar and very stylish oak. Concentrated and layered rich dark red fruits on the mid palate, supported by spicy French oak and tannins that are soft, substantial and timeless. Well balanced with underlying fruit, balanced oak and a layered mouthfeel, like reading an interesting book. A wine of great power and longevity.
