2018 CHRISTO’S PADDOCK CABERNET SAUVIGNON MAGNUM
A small parcel of fruit from old vines next to the Angas River was hand selected for our Cabernet Sauvignon. Bunches were selectively picked, crushed and left on skins for seven days. The wine was aged for 18 months in a combination of 40% new and old French oak barrels.
Vibrant deep ruby red. Concentrated and lifted ripe red fruit aromas, notably cassis and blackcurrant, as well as cedary oak notes. Pleasantly rich on the mid palate with layers of flavours including blackcurrant, cassis, plum, fresh mint and cedary oak. Velvety tannins combine with the sweet fruit flavours to give great length. Cellar for 20 + years.
