Adelaide Hills 2015 Vintage Wrap Up
We aim to produce white wines that are crisp and delicate, flavoursome yet still elegant. The conditions this growing and ripening season were absolutely ideal to create wines such as this; wines with concentration, finesse and lovely high natural acid balance. With the help of regular irrigation, Sophie’s Hill Pinot Grigio and Anna’s Sauvignon Blanc blocks looked healthy and balanced throughout the season. The canopies had an ideal leaf density providing dappled light for the ripening bunches. Our Pinot Grigio was hand-harvested on February 21st followed by our Sauvignon Blanc a week later, pictured left.
The Dairy Block Shiraz benefitted from the drier than normal season with lovely open bunches and small flavour packed berries. It was hand-picked on March 26th, about 2 weeks earlier than previous vintages.
